Color Grading
Color Grading at the Highest Level
Color is one of the defining elements of visual storytelling — it reflects the filmmaker’s vision, enhances emotion and elevates style. At Post Control, we consider color an essential part of the creative process, not just a finishing touch.
Our colorists are among the most experienced in Finland, combining artistry with deep technical expertise. The team includes Marko Terävä — a founding member of the company and one of Finland’s most respected senior colorists — alongside Timo Luomanen, Mika Onnela, Sarrah Wilkman, and Pentti Keskimäki. Each brings years of experience across feature films, series, documentaries, and high-end commercials and all are highly sought-after by our clients for their creative sensitivity, reliability, and collaborative approach.
Post Control Color Workflow
Mastering color has never been more exciting — or more demanding. With an ever-expanding range of cameras, file formats, and delivery requirements, preserving the original creative intent is more complex than ever. Add to that the need for seamless output across cinema, broadcast, streaming, social media, and OOH platforms — and it’s clear why our team’s expertise matters.
Our DI workflow is designed to meet these demands. We grade in cinema-calibrated suites equipped with Christie 4K/2K projectors, a 6-meter (20 ft) main screen, and industry-standard systems including Baselight, and DaVinci Resolve. For HDR grading, we use the Sony X300 reference monitor.
For busy production teams and international clients, we also offer remote live grading. A flexible way to stay connected to the creative process, wherever you are!
Sound Design
Our fantastic team includes Zacharias Kullman, Emil Soininen and Pontus Borg, Sound Designers mainly focusing on long-form productions at our state-of-the-art studios in the Vallila district. Tuomas Soppela, the multitalented musician-soundscape artist, leads advertising sound projects from our Suvilahti headquarter.
We offer a comprehensive sound package for feature films, series and commercials — covering sound design, dialogue editing, SFX and background editing, re-recording mixing, ADR and voiceover recording.
Remote collaboration with international clients is part of our daily routine. Directors can attend ADR sessions, collaborate with sound designers or approve 5.1 masters from anywhere in the world.
One of our key strengths lies in the tight collaboration with editorial, grading, VFX and mastering departments. We believe that truly compelling stories are born when every creative element supports a unified vision — under one roof — and we are built to make that happen.
Project Management
Post-production is a managed process shared in close collaboration with all parties. Scheduling, budgeting and quality are constantly at loggerheads. Producing post is very much a hands-on role shepherding creative and technical challenges on a daily basis.
Toni, Joni, Jukka, Petri and Matti are Post Control's producers with over 110 years of combined industry experience.
Remote Workflow
We have systems in place to manage projects' workflows remotely with secure and live monitoring of offline editing, color grading, sound and VFX work. Communication, review and approval is possible through project/client specific MIO or LucidLink. Login credentials provided by our producers.
VISUAL EFFECTS

Technical Services & Deliveries
Post Control's full-service concept can be tailored individually to each project, and we are able to take care of an extensive range of supportive functions during a film shoot and its post-production.
DIT services can be arranged near the set or via our data lab. Assembly editors can also be attached. We provide automated and eyeball QC, including PSE check, and have experience delivering content to most major global broadcasters, distributors and VOD platforms. Furthermore, 2K/4K/Atmos DCP mastering and preview can be completed in-house.
Secure digital deliveries can be arranged through our MediaShuttle or LucidLink accounts.
Post Control Studio Infrastructure
We have a long-lasting maintenance partnership with TV Tools who look after our infra. Currently running a 40Gb network with access to 1.4 PB of shared storage. You can read more about this on the Elements website.
